Technical products:
It is a legal document that guarantees the exclusive rights to an idea or product to an inventor.
For a patent to be used as an alternative format for a dissertation/thesis, it must have been developed during a master's or doctoral program.
If the patent was developed during a master's or doctoral program and at the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty, the following must be listed as co-authors/co-inventors in the patent registration: the student, the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty, the thesis advisor, and the coordinator of the program in which the student (author/inventor of the patent) is enrolled.
It is a legal document that objectively describes the procedures performed for the testing or validation of a product/process, requested by a company affiliated with an Educational Institution.
For a Technical Report to be used as an alternative format for a Dissertation/Thesis, it must have been developed during a Master's or Doctoral program.
The dissertation in the alternative format of a technical report must initially follow these steps:
a) Consultation of the list of companies affiliated with SLMANDIC
b) Signing of the addendum
c) Sending the Technical Report to the requesting company
d) Company report issuing an opinion on the research carried out
Media consists of the set of means of communication, with the purpose of transmitting information and varied content. The media universe encompasses a series of different platforms that act as means to disseminate information, such as newspapers, magazines, television, radio, the internet, including social media such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and podcasts.
The dissertation in the alternative media product format should initially follow these steps:
a) The student must be the main author of the program, and the advisor must be a co-author.
b) The authors need to obtain the "Authorization Form for the Use of Image and Audio" from the program participants.
Educational material can be defined as a pedagogical product with a pedagogical and instructional purpose.
To defend this alternative approach:
a) The student must have developed teaching materials, which may be a physical or digital copy, or even applications/apps.
b) The student must be the main author of the program, and the advisor must be a co-author.
c) If the teaching material uses the name or image owned by SLMANDIC, an image usage agreement must be attached.
A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a document that aims to describe clearly and in detail the practices and recommendations involved in a process.
For the defense of this alternative approach:
a) It must include the identification of those responsible for the preparation, review, and validation of the SOP.
b) Review by an expert in the field and validation by a lay evaluator of the procedure are mandatory.
