The Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty (MANDIC), in its advisory, deliberative, and educational roles, evaluates and monitors the ethical and scientific aspects of research involving, directly or indirectly, human beings. To this end, international and Brazilian ethical guidelines are followed (CNS Resolutions No. 466/2012 and 510/2016Operational Standard 001/2013 CNS 166/2018), which aim to safeguard the interests of research participants in their integrity and dignity and contribute to the development of science within ethical standards. Through the Guide to the Rights of Research Participants, research participants and researchers can access information about their rights and responsibilities.
CEP -MANDIC is subordinate to and accredited by the National Research Ethics Committee (CONEP) of the National Health Council (CNS) and has a multi-professional composition and multidisciplinary approach, aiming to guarantee pluralism in decisions on issues related to ethics and research.
